As everyone knows, retail prices for emeralds are astronomical. A trip to any jewelry store quickly demonstrates that retail customers pay up to hundreds, or even more, for less than a single carat of genuine emerald.

A few try to beat the system by hunting at gem mines in an effort to remove the middleman. Unfortunately, the gem mines that actually permit gem hunting charge fees of "only" 10 to 50 dollars, or MORE…. for buckets of MINE DIRT.

This emerald rough is offered direct to you. There’s absolutely NO DIRT, and this raw emerald is scooped out in increments of POUNDS, not carats.

Each order is for one sizable scoop of emerald and emerald in matrix weighing AT LEAST 1/2 POUND, Dug out at random.That’s between 1,100 and 1,500 Carats for Only $15.95 You could search a DUMP TRUCK LOAD of mine dirt without finding this much!

This African amethyst rough is a wonderful rich deep purple. It includes both rough chunks and crystal points. Most of it is great for cabbing or carving and some may even be facetable. Each order is for at least 1,000 carats of amethyst scooped from our stockpile.

From the Trancas Mine in Chihuahua Mexico, these whole geodes are ALL hollow. Their internal crystal formations have grown for millions of years hidden within their rocky shells. We provide them to you completely whole and unbroken so you’ll be the first to discover the treasures inside.

All of these geodes will contain acrystal cavern. The internal crystal structures are all unique with quartz, fluorite, and calcite being the most commonminerals. Each one contains an exciting surprise of crystal formations and possible scepters, stalactites and stalagmites.

In addition to their beauty under natural sunlight, most of them will also fluoresce bright green under UV light or black light.

Get Cracking!

This citrine rough has amazing honey-golden color. It includes both rough chunks and possibly some crystal points. As far as we can find, it is superior to all citrine found at this price. This golden citrine rough is good for cabbing and some should also be facetable.

This Peruvian Pyrite rough has a wonderful golden color. It’s a beautiful and fascinating ore that displays well and makes a great conversation piece.

Facet, cab, carve, or tumble. A good deal that gets better with quantity discounts.

We scoop each lot at random which gives everyone
the same great opportunity to find nice specimens. They will come to you just as they came to us.

This high quality orange calcite rough has a wonderful richorange coloring. It is a very nice quality material with relatively little fracturing and quite clean. It is great for cabbing, carving ortumbling.

This celestite is a mix of what we would call partial geodes and druzy specimens. We individually wrap each geode/druzy specimen before orders are placed. We then package those wrapped specimens according to order size. Price is per piece/specimen.

This Chalcopyrite rough has incredible color. The natural brassy yellow has tarnished to wonderful iridescent blues, greens, yellow, magenta, and purple which is why many call it peacock stone. It is a stunningly beautiful ore.

We scoop each lot at random which gives everyone the same great opportunity to find nice specimens.

Very nice color with some hex pieces. Sizes typically range from 5 up to about 15 millimeters. This ruby rough is excellent for creating cabochons and you should be able to make some nice star rubies.

Each lot will be poured onto the gem scale at random until the weight reads at least 500 carats.

We have a limited supply of this material. Like many of our offerings, this is a closeout. No more is available to us when we run out.

Rating a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, with only diamond harder at 10, ruby is famed for its durability and breathtaking beauty when polished making it one of the most sought after mineral varieties in the world. AND… weighing hundreds, even thousands of carats each, the specimens from this stockpile are HUGE! Most big enough to make genuine RUBY CARVINGS!

Ammonites and Orthoceras are long extinct varieties of cephalopods. The ammonites were disc shaped while Orthoceras were long and tubular. Both types of fossils are ideal for making pendants and wire wrap jewelry.

Odsidian is natural volcanic glass. This glassy, lustrous mineral is produced when lava cools quickly not allowing crystals to form. Patterns of gas
bubbles remaining from the lava flow, aligned along layers created as the molten rock was flowing before being cooled have interesting effects such as this silver sheen which is visible as the egg is turned.

In silver sheen when the material is held in light it has a flash of silver seeming to glow from within.

Metaphysical Properties: Silver Sheen Obsidian is said to be a protective stone which wards off negativity.
